Construction requirements of refractory calcium silicate board for cement kiln

     The wind speed in the tertiary air duct of the rotary kiln is high, and the chlor-alkali gas carrying a large amount of dust in the cooler runs at a high speed in the tertiary air duct, which brings severe erosion on the tertiary duct, especially at the elbow and the closed valve, and causes loosing and peeling off of the refractory at this area. In this area,refractory calcium silicate board is usually used as the thermal insulation material. Due to its characteristics, the refractory calcium silicate board can reduce energy consumption and increase the efficiency of the kiln.

Construction requirements of refractory calcium silicate board for cement kiln

     The characteristics and application of refractory calcium silicate board are as follows:

     1. The thermal conductivity of refractory calcium silicate board is small.

     The porosity of the refractory calcium silicate board is more than 90%, and its thermal conductivity is very small. Therefore,the energy saving performance is obvious and kilns’ production capacity is improved. 

     2. The refractory calcium silicate board has high working temperature and low bulk density.

     The refractory calcium silicate board has a working temperature of 1100°C and low bulk density, thus effectively extending service life of kilns.
