What are the performance advantages of CCEWOOL high alumina refractory brick?
1.Refractoriness
High alumina refractory brick products, as the premium product of silicate aluminum refractory products, its refractoriness increases with Al2O3 content increases, generally not less than 1750-1790 ℃. For example corundum brick with Al2O3 content more than 95%, its refractoriness can be as high as 1900-2000 ℃.
2.Refractoriness under load
High alumina refractory bricks’ refractoriness under load will decrease with the increase of silica and alkali metal oxide content. But its refractoriness is higher than clay brick products. Refractoriness is about 1420-1530℃. Corundum brick with Al2O3 content more than 95%, its refractoriness can be above 1600℃.
3.Slag resistance
Because high alumina refractory brick has high content of Al2O3 and Al2O3 is neutral, this kind of material has high resistance to erosion of acid and alkaline slag.
4.Thermal shock stability
In high alumina refractory brick products, there are two kinds of crystals: corundum and mullite, because the thermal expansion coefficient of corundum is larger than that of mullite, and the stress concentration is caused by the expansion difference when the refractory brick temperature changes. Therefore, the thermal shock stability of high alumina brick products is worse than that of clay bricks, and the average water cooling rate is only 3-5 times.
5.Linear change on reheating
If the high alumina refractory brick product is heated enough and the heating time is sufficient, its volume is stable, and its linear change on reheating is small. On the contrary, it produces the residual shrinkage like the clay brick products, which is caused by recrystallization.
