Classification and characteristics of light weight mullite insulation brick

Classification of lightweight mullite insulation brick: sintered mullite brick and electric fused mullite brick.Sintered mullite bricks are produced with high bauxite clinker as main raw material and a small amount of clay or bauxite as a binder.And through molding and sintering the bricks are produced.Electric fused mullite bricks are made of high bauxite, industrial alumina and refractory clay, adding charcoal or coke fine grain as reducing agent. After molding, reduction electric fusion method is used to make it. The crystallization ratio of the electric fused mullite brick is larger than that of sintered mullite, and the thermal shock resistance is better than the sintering product. Their high temperature performance mainly depends on the content of alumina and the uniformity of the mullite phase and glass phase distribution.
