Improving the thermal insulation performance of the coke oven furnace, reducing the heat loss of the coke oven, and improving the thermal efficiency of the coke oven are important ways to save energy in the coke oven production. After the implementation of ceramic fiber blanket insulation in coke ovens, many metallurgical industry companies have achieved successful applications:
1. The outer wall of the heat storage chamber of the coke oven regenerator insulated with ceramic fiber blanket insulation;
A ceramic fiber blanket insulation insulation layer with a thickness of 40 mm was laid on the outer wall of the heat storage chamber of the coke oven regenerator, and a 2 mm thick steel plate was used as the outer surface protection panel of the ceramic fiber blanket insulation insulation layer. The outer protective steel plate is fastened with an angle steel bracket and screws, so that the ceramic fiber blanket insulation layer is closely attached to the surface of the coke oven regenerator storage wall. Finally, the gap between the ceramic fiber blanket insulation layer and the coke oven steel frame is sealed with a homogeneous ceramic fiber coating material.
The thermal test results before and after the thermal insulation of the coke oven regenerator chamber for wall sealing indicate that the thermal efficiency of the coke oven can be improved and the coke quality and working environment can be improved simultaneously after insulation:
(1) The temperature at the top of the regenerator is increased, thereby increasing the heat storage capacity of the regenerator.
(2) Reduced regenerator surface temperature and reduced heat loss
(3) Improve the temperature of the top of coke oven stove and improve the quality of coke
For the new coke oven, ceramic fiber blanket insulation can be used instead of the heat insulation structure of the middle insulating brick layer of the regenerator of the coke oven. The structure of placing ceramic fiber blanket insulation layer in the interlayer heat insulation structure of the coke oven regenerator wall in the middle of the wall can not only reduce the temperature of the exterior wall of the seal wall by more than 50° C., but also save the steel shell guards and sturdy steel frames which are required when ceramic fiber blanket insulation is applied on the outer wall(cold face).
2. Coke oven top, top coal roof cover with ceramic fiber blanket insulation.
A 35mm-thick ceramic fiber blanket insulation layer is laid underneath the kiln tiles on the surface of the coke oven furnace. The temperature of the top surface of the coke oven furnace can be reduced from 124°C before insulation to 84°C. The ambient temperature at the top surface of the coke oven 20mm was lowered from 42°C to 20°C. The effect was very satisfactory.
Fill the cavity of the coke oven roof coal charging hole cover with ceramic fiber blanket insulation layer, can achieve the effect of reducing the surface temperature of the furnace cover by more than 100° C. It is advantageous to automatically suck up the lid of the electromagnet and solve the problem of desorption that frequently occurs due to the lid temperature being above 500°C.
