Last week we talked about the application of CCEWOOL mullite brick in glass furnace front gable wall, waist and small furnace and regenerative chamber upper wall parts. Here we will talk about application of mullite brick in other parts of glass melting furnace.
4. coal fired glass furnace upcast and stone arch
As we all know, the bottleneck of the gas furnace life is in the small furnace parts, the use of traditional design of brick with AZS tongue arch, due to the temperature below 1450C, silicate bricks are not the best choice in this section, because of severe erosion in this section. CCEWOOL mullite insulating brick with good anti erosion performance can be used to extend the service life in this section. In addition, the tongue arch is made of fused zirconia corundum brick, because of its poor thermal stability; the re-sintered fused mullite brick may be a good choice.
5. gas regenerator checker
The current design of the gas regenerator is using clay brick, generally used for the 3-4 year period, unable to meet the needs of the growing length of the kiln, the replacement of checker is not only labor-intensive, and will cause damage to other parts of the furnace. At the top of the gas checker with a certain number of sintered mullite bricks can improve the service life of the kiln.
6. the furnace grates arch and the bottom checker
At the bottom of the regenerator checker will generate and deposit flue gas condensate. The longer the kiln is, the more frequent the operation of the bottom regenerator chamber, the more the thermal shock is to the furnace grates arch and the bottom checker. Good thermal shock resistance and anti erosion ability of sintered mullite brick can improve the service life of parts
7. the operating hole
Mullite insulating brick has good thermal shock resistance and high temperature strength, can be used in the operation hole furnace, such as the observation hole, gun hole, air holes.
