Last issue we mainly introduced two advantages of refractory ceramic fiber module being applied in tunnel kiln---light weight and low thermal conductivity. This issue we will continue to introduce other advantages of ceramic fiber modules being used on tunnel kilns.
3. Convenient for construction
There is no need to reserve expansion joints during the construction process, and the insulating ceramic fiber module (folding block) expands in four direction.
4. Don't need preheating.
Once the furnace construction is finished, the furnace can be put into use. No need for preheating. Generally furnace built of traditional refractory material needs preheating, and the preheating time is long. But the tunnel kiln which is built with insulating ceramic fiber module needs shorter preheating time and investment is low.
5. Good thermal insulation performance
When touching tunnel kiln built with insulating ceramic fiber module from outside you don’t feel hot. The temperature inside the furnace is usually 850-1400 °C, but the outside is only about 35 degrees. It can be seen that the thermal insulation effect of the insulating ceramic fiber module is obvious.
6. Chemical stability
The insulating ceramic fiber module is a neutral slightly acid material. Except for reaction with strong acid and alkali.It will not be etched by weak acid, alkali, water, oil, steam. It is not infiltrated with lead, aluminum and copper.
