Product characteristics and process principle of mullite insulation brick

     Mullite insulation brick is one of ideal insulation materials. It has the characteristics of good chemical stability, high temperature resistance, high dimensional accuracy, uniform structure,  low thermal conductivity, etc. Mullite insulation brick can be directly used as the lining of high temperature kilns, and has been widely used in shuttle kilns, roller kilns,glass kilns and petrochemical industrial kilns.

     Characteristics of mullite insulation brick:

     1. Low thermal conductivity and good thermal insulation effect;

     2. Mullite insulation brick has low thermal capacity and low thermal conductivity, so it accumulate very little heat energy, which has obvious energy-saving effects in intermittent operation;

     3. Low impurity content, very low iron and alkali metal oxide content, therefore, high refractoriness; high aluminum content makes it maintain good performance in a reducing atmosphere;

     4. Mullite insulation brick has high compressive strength under high temperature;

     5. Accurate appearance and size, convenient for construction, reduce the use of refractory mortar, ensure the strength and stability of the masonry, thereby prolong the life of the lining;

     6. Mullite insulation bricks can be processed into special shapes. In order to reduce the number of bricks and joints.
