Advantages of refractory fiber products applied to ethylene cracking furnace

     Compared with traditional refractory materials, refractory fiber products have the following advantages:

     2. Low density

     The bulk density of refractory fiber products is generally 64~320kg/m3, which is about 1/3 of lightweight bricks and 1/5 of lightweight refractory castables. Using refractory fiber products in    newly designed furnace body, not only can save steel, but also can simplify furnace structure.

     3. Low heat capacity

     Compared with refractory bricks and insulation bricks, the heat capacity of refractory fiber products is very small. Because of their different densities, the heat capacity varies greatly. The heat capacity of refractory fiber products is about 1/14~1/13 that of refractory bricks, and 1/7~1/6 of insulation bricks. Using refractory fiber products in cracking furnaces that operate periodically, the fuel consumed in non-production can be reduced.

     4. Convenient construction and can shorten construction period

     Refractory fiber or various pre-made refractory fiber blocks, blankets, felts, ropes, cloth, paper, etc., are convenient to adopt various construction methods. Because of its excellent elasticity and predictable compression, no expansion joint is required during construction. It can be operated by ordinary trained workers
