As a person in refractory material industry, our first purpose is to make the products to give the best advantage to the kiln, to achieve the goal of high wind temperature in furnace and gentle longevity of furnace. Right selection of fire brick is the most important factor to determine the life of kiln furnace.
In refrecatory material selection for blast furnace, the first thing that should be considered is the design of temperature of hot wind and size of furnace. Besides we should also consider the price of refractory fire brick and insulation fire brick. According to design, the refractory fire brick and insulation fire brick can be selected according to following scheme.
1、Large blast furnace(diameter≥8m， wind temperature≥1200℃)：The top of the arch, the upper part of the combustion chamber, the upper part of the heat storage chamber and the checker brick should be built with silica brick. The top of the arch which connects the silica brick and the middle of cumbustion chamber(high temperature area) should be built with Mullite brick. The heat storage chamber which connect silica brick and medium and high temperature area of checker brick will be built with red pillar brick or sillimanite brick. 15 layers of cheker brick above stove grate should be built with red pillar brick or sillimanite brick. Area of temperature below 1000℃ should be built with fire clay brick.
